This year the middle school at Porter changed to a block schedule for the core classes of Math, Language Arts, Science, and Social Studies. Do you like the block schedule, or would you prefer shorter classes and seeing each teacher every day?

No, I would prefer shorter classes and seeing each teacher every day.
I personally like the block schedules. They allow more time for delving deeper into the issues via class discussion, and nothing is worse than trying to fit a lesson into those 30 minute periods on late arrival and early dismissal days. Audrey and Danny, sounds like we teachers should get you a little more involved in our classes. Remember, you get out of it what you put into it. :)
The only reason why I like the block scheldule is because we get another night to do our homework but we usually get more! But I don't like that there soooooooooooooo long! No offense to the teachers but it gets really boring!
yeah blocks are cool it was wAy confusing to me when we started it but its easy to understand i agree with chatham the late work thing yeah that rocks haha
I prefer the block scheduling preferably -giggles- because I find the long classes convenient . You can get more done, and also you get an extra night or two to get your homework done. ^-^ (That is a smiley face.)
I absolutely always will hate the blocking schedule because at the end of the double period I'm practically sleeping!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I think that block scheduling is good and bad. Like in this case, today because of the cancellation, I get an extra 3 days to study for the S.S. test because I missed it today. (I hope it isn’t tomorrow somehow) but then if you have to hand in late work in, let’s say math, and you don’t have math that day, you are probably going to forget to hand it in, and that averages a 0 in the grade book. So it’s pretty cool. :-)

I really enjoy block scheduling, I like having longer classes because you don't have to rush everything within a half an hour.
